To be fair to the lad I don't think he has been given a chance yet [I know I don't see him in training every day so can't really judge] I do know he was one of the first signings in the summer, and I know when I did see him he looked half decent, and I think it's a shame that given our overall lack of real depth in central midfielders [Let him out on loan as well as letting Bridcutt go??] that we could now do with a solid midfielder coming in.

I don't think he's been helping himself though with his media whinging!

He came with 10 Poland caps and at 27 you'd think a starting place looking at his fee and his previous season stats of creating four goals for his teammates in the Eredivisie and played the most key passes of anyone in Twente’s squad. In addition, he made 79 tackles, which was the third most in side. However it is his team-high eight bookings which perhaps proves his love of a scrap more than anything else which makes his non appearances for us a mystery ........ bearing in mind Klich became TC's first signing at Elland Road, with the capture made even sweeter by reports that it beat out a late bid from former Leeds boss Garry Monk at Middlesbrough !

So one can understand his frustration but he also stated .... "he was keen to honour his contract with us to 2020" if we allowed a loan - Mmm, agents been busy me thinks.

Is it fair to say though that Phillips is having his best ever season and so then does klich replace Vieira or okane,

Why not rotate, it's not as though any have covered themselves with glory (Phillips included), so competition (and game time) might help all concerned?

It's my opinion that players should play based on recent form, they deserve to play if they're playing well, klich has got quite a lot of competition for just 2 CM positions, I would like to see him have a chance, but there's one or 2 others who are in the same boat, cibicki hasn't played anything yet, we shall just have to see what happens, shouldn't rotate for the hell of it though

That was my point Clive. I'm sceptical about the newcomers, thats no secret, but at least give them an opportunity to demonstrate their worth (potential at least). Hence the rotating idea, doing so when the other parts (and player availability) of the formation allow.

The lad isn't even making the bench - this seems strange given Mrs O's comment about him being TC's first signing and his defensive capabilities. OK if Phillips and Viera are playing well why not have him in reserve on the bench? I mean we always have a reserve keeper, defender and a forward or too ...so why not cover for the position that seems to have the most sending's off?

This is what p isses me off about managers - something isn't right and we never get to know what... seems a shame as that for me is a key position in our team as we seem to always play four in front of the two holding midfielders and we only have the three regulars for that position available now... frankly O'Kane, Viera and Phillips are not always the best in this league and need competition.

Can't argue with that assessment - unless we're mauling everyone (which we're obviously not), there's always room for a shake-up to keep things fresh for us and to give the opposition something different to think about.

Maybe Orta had the Klich deal lined up 'before' Monk walked hence the situation ?

Also the Rads keen eye for public relations & possibilities drumming up new commercial markets had this other 'deal' lined up for Jan '18 I recall pending International clearance formalities.

......... the Elland Road club have begun negotiations to bring the 21-year-old Ideguchi to the Championship and aim to finalise an agreement ahead of the winter window

Leeds’ sporting director Victor Orta spoke last week about United being “close to signing a big surprise from Asia” after expending their scouting network into the Far East.

Toshiya Fujita, a former Japan international, was named as the club’s head of recruitment for the Asian market in July and club owner Andrea Radrizzani spent time in Japan at the very end of the summer transfer window.

Ideguchi, who was capped at Under-19 and Under-23 level by Japan, played and scored in a 2-0 victory over Australia during a World Cup qualifier in Saitama on August 31. He secured his first call-up to Japan’s senior squad earlier this year.

The youngster currently plays for J-League side Gamba Osaka, where he earned his first professional contract in 2014. He was named as the J-League’s young player of the year last season after Osaka finished sixth in the table.
