    Saiz

Our best player since we dropped out of the prem. Gotta be the catalyst to build a team around.

    Amen!

Surprising that he wasn't a regular for a lower la liga team, rather than a team in the Spanish version of the championship

Hummmm, he has been very good so far but I'll wait a while before labelling him the best we've had.

Snodgrass, Gradel, Cook, McCormack all very good for us in longer spells.

If he keeps up like he is now then without a doubt but it is about consistency over a long period for me, not a short term or half a season burst. Same as I won't write a player off based on half a season, gotta see what they can do in the long term.

Fair point Joel, some of our newbies including the coach himself could take time to be awesome but there's many positives to take from many of the new guys this season so far

I'd go with Cook. The lad was 17-19 and bossing championship midfields. He'll end up being the centre-mid for England for years to come and we'll look back in (extreme) anger/sadness at losing him whilst we were mostly sh it. By that point, of course, we'll be able to buy him back on the basis of our winning the Champions League 5 seasons running.

Yea, think we can sometimes forget Cook was 18 when he was the best central mid in the league. Just a shame he isn't getting more game time at Bournemouth, would hate to see his development slow because of a lack of game time. Him in our current team would look a world beater, he managed to look top class even with the dross he had to play with.

Hard to compare year to year but Saiz is definitely the best on this team this year.

Thing I like about Saiz is that he's already improved. Just a few games ago he was refusing to use his left for shooting or crossing. On Saturday he scored with his left!

That Barnsley match is just the second match this season we have dominated from start to finish, the other being Burton, and a lot of it was down to the front 4, Saiz alioski ekuban and hernandez have to start against villa now and if they are just as effective against them, then it proves its a very good quartet
