    I am afraid...

its all gonna end in tears this season. I so hope I'm totally wrong and have to eat crow but I do not think Alan Pardew is the man to stop the rot of not winning games. I absolutely want him to succeed and take Albion forward but I just don't see it happening.Other than that, welcome Mr Pardew, and to quote The Smiths: Please, Please, Please let me get what I want. ie Albion as an established top six Premiership side.

Soulman, Albion as an established top 6 Premier League side??? What are you on? We never have been and never will be.

In the words of the Keith Richards and Mick Jagger,
You cant always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find , you get what you need.

So what is it you need Soulman buddy, success in the Championship or at best established and mid table in the Premier League because realistically those are the two options, always have been and always will be.

I see what you are saying Yarm but I want us to be an established top six club too one day.....It can happen but it needs a ton of patience and for us to be serious top 8 first.....that was looking possible before a bad end to last season. Leicester won the prem in a wonderfully remarkable style and that still hasnt established them as a top 6. It will take years but for us to do it?....It will require a huge injection of ambition and cash. Patience.....you never know what can happen good to bad...bad to good. What is paramount is staying in the division UNTIL.

The only way we would ever have a chance of being a top six side is if the top six joined a European super league.
Even the likes of Spurs and Liverpool with their vast wealth and history have never won the premier league, and are never likely to.

I think Yarm's got me mixed up with Joy, i'm a bit more optimistic top 6 what's wrong with top 4. Well wolves are predicting winning the Champions league in 3 yrs.

Oh come on Lloyd wolves have been doing that since the days of Mark McGhee, most people in Wolvo are on drugs. Let's not talk silly like them.

The best we can do is what Leicester did, have a super season. We won't become established top 6, nor will any other club.
I hope for enjoying watching us play, good cup runs culminating in a final or 5, and remaining in the top flight.

Now that hope is dead will you lower your expectations Chris?

Maybe avoiding League One and not doing another "Woking" is something more realistic.

I have a horrible feeling we'll see League One again in the near future.
