Joselu Mitro and the other strikers

    copied from facebook.

    From a post over on Newcastle Online;
Went to a Martin Hardy talk in last night speaking about his Rafa book. Some interesting bits from it:
    - Mitrovic has two personal trainers who are bulking Mitrovic up and it is driving Rafa and Paco mad because his stamina stats are terrible which is why he hasn't been starting
    - In training the best 4 finishers at the club are Gayle, Perez, Joselu and then Mitrovic in that order.
-Tammy Abraham wanted 55 grand a week to join in the summer on loan.
    - things started to wobble between Rafa and Ashley after playing Birmingham in the cup. MA and Graham Carr both watched the game in the stands. Mitrovic got injured and Rafa was going to meet MA to discuss transfers after the match but MA left with 20 mins to go and Rafa was furious he couldn't speak with him.
    - Townsend and James McCarthy were the main targets last Jan
-Rafa wanted Reina or caballero because he knew they would organise the defence a lot better than our current goalkeepers.
    - Rafa blocked Darlow being sold as he wasn't convinced he would get the funds for a replacement
    - Relations between the press and the club were so strained during the McClaren/Pardew/ Carver era that McClaren eventually convinced someone at the club to provide biscuits for journalists at press conferences which was seen as a bit of a breakthrough
    - Hardy doesn't seem to think the takeover will happen which is the feeling of those within the club too
    - he says that MA may give Rafa 15mil in Jan as a budget, if we get taken over it will be 25mil
    - Graham Carr very rarely watched Newcastle.
    - Sir Bobby used to use journalists dictaphones and mugs to demonstrate his tactics to journalists at press conferences.
    - Rafa keeps large dossiers of every training session. He also had one analysing Burnley who went down to the championship and bounced back up.
    - Said the club would be crippled if we didn't go up last season, hence his poor team selections in the cup.
    - Sissoko and Thauvin fees are coming in I small instalments.
    - Rafa said Hardy couldn't publish his book if Newcastle didn't get promoted
Some is already common knowledge but thought I'd share. I'll probably remember some more later on in the day when I properly wake up. Could have listened to him talk about the club all day

His (Mitro) stamina is very poor, i've commented on that before when he's playing - knackered after 5 minutes on pitch. surprised a bit about the shooting stats though.

    typical ashley, pisses everyone off.

15 million aye that'll buy us lots...........

If Mitrovic is as bad as all that then he should have been getting fined.
I'd also love to know what happened with Jack Colback. Regardless of him not being anything special, something's went well off track there.

I would very very much like, to get in touch with Hardys supplier!
It must be seriously good gear if he thinks PEREZ is the second best finisher at the club..Both our centre backs are clearly better...

Makes sense but both would of been majorly expensive.

I don't think he'd of been wrong either. He'd of been told he had Krul, Elliot and Woodman.

Sad but can well believe it.

We knew about Sissoko but I personally didn't about Thauvin - was that a general known thing?

colback was unprofessional - to say the least. after he'd been banished to reserves or whatever, rafa needed another player in training - someone injured. - so he asked colback to come over and join in - colback refused point blank.

    he hasn't been seen since......

Wasn't he also helped in finding a club in the summer - Wolves and Hull (i think?) to leave after being told he wouldn't be picked and he turned down the moves as well.
