    Martin to Wolves

Rumour has it that Martin is Wolves number one priority signing in the January window, wasn't they also interested in Martin the year he went to Fulham?

And that would be exactly why they might desire to sign him. If things aren't going well, stick a big lad up front.
An ideal player if you want options.

Yes ideal he's scored one goal in his last 30 Derby league appearances sure Wolves can't wait for him after all their only top with a game in hand

No I still think you don't get it, they might be interested in Martin not because he's 'unprolific,' rather the kind of game he can bring when you're chasing the match or leading and hanging on. If he scores, all the better, but mainly to keep defenders busy, set up his partner and bring an aerial threat.
Of course, I have nothing but supposition here. That would seem to me, a justifiable reason to buy someone like Martin, if these rumors are true, which probably they're not.

NB: Although if you want to into the semantics of it, I'm prepared to engage you R4J style, keep harping on my points stubbornly and until you submit or give up!

Martin isn't a bench man, play him regular and he'll get you goals and plenty of free kicks!
