A draw would have been the fair result but we all know football isn't fair.
To say Hughes was peeved might be an understatement!

Stoke were the better side, however, we never gave up and kept the belief and it paid off.
Hughes is under a lot of pressure because the fans have had enough --of what --I don't know --that's football. I think that he was entitled to think that they should have got at least a point -- but they didn't!
Interesting stat ---since Man City we have conceded just 2 goals in 8 matches and one of those was the disputed penalty against Arsenal. Only one goals from open play, Leicester, in 720 minutes football!
I enjoyed listening to a Stoke manager whingeing about having to face a barrage of long balls. This is the same Stoke that used to play for throw-ins so Rory Delap could drop the ball on the penalty spot from the half-way line. I'm sure one season they scored about 50% of their goals from long throw-ins. What goes around....etc.
the better side is the one that scores more goals than the opposition- whether that's in the first minute or the 99th minute-
When I trawl down the football results tonight it will show Burnley won 1-0 last night.
In a results driven business like professional football, absolutely nothing else but three points matters.
I once went to Grimsby on a bitterly cold night when Stan was the manager. Absolutely fantastic game, we lost 7-6.
Give me 1-0 home wins any day of the week!![]()
i was there TBT but only saw 11 goals
Is it my bad memory? Was it 6-5, I lost count. I think Robbie scored a hat trick that night and still finished on the losing side.
I only clearly remember the wins!![]()
i remember sime bad defeats- 8-1 at WBA, 7-0 at City and spurs and QPR- and watched the highlights of that game on MOTD!!!!!- it hurt
