    Keegan.

Still can't believe he gets slagged by some fans.

Rafa's got a connection with the fans the same way Keegan did-it's partly why he hasn't come in for the stick a different manager would have during this run.

I just hope the damage Ashley has done to this club can be undone and it isn't already to late. Give Rafa the players he wants and we'll be ok this season...then we can kick on.

whether you rate Rafa or not (and I do) the club NEEDS a manager that has a rapport with the fans.

in all my years following the club, only Arthur Cox, Keegan, Sir Bobby and Rafa have had that.

I really hope this takeover is a done deal, then Rafa can get on with managing the club instead of trying to manage the clubs bargain basement buys.

Not only his he managing poor players, or bargain basement buys like you have said.

It seems like he is managing the whole infrastructure of the club, i bet he is involved massively with this takeover and dealing with things in the upper hierarchy of the club .. staff, charity work ...

The man needs someone at boardroom level that knows what to do so he can get his players in and manage how he wants to manage.
