I've taken a bit of time to reflect following yesterdays announcement which came as a bit of a shock if I'm honest as I didn't expect anything either way until the new year.

What I'd just like to say is a huge thank you to Patrick Cryne and his family for saving our club when no one else had the commitment and the means to step up.
In 2003 when Peter Ridsdale bought the club with Patrick from Shaun Doyle I'd hoped for a new dawn at BFC, experienced chairman and a multi millionaire backer we couldn't go wrong. A year later Ridsdale and his chief exec left the club floundering - needing over a million pounds just to make it to the end of the season and avoid going back into administration.He's gone on to perform similarly at other clubs and to the best of my knowledge is now banned from becoming a company director.

Up stepped Patrick Cryne with his passion for this town and it's football club when he could just as easily have kept his hand in his pocket.

We've moaned and groaned about the constant lows at BFC, but by eck we've had some highs as well haven't we ?!
if it hadn't been for this man and his commitment to our club then the chances are we wouldn't have a club to moan about.Terminally ill he's brokered a deal with a consortium who will want to take the club forward.Thank you Patrick.
