Yates for me
Own goal by Aneke according to Football on 5.
I don’t know how big a TV screen some of our fans have but it is evident that although Yates goes to play the flick over his head, Aneke gets to the ball before him and for some inexplicable reason does the job Yates was aiming to do.
Cue the ensuing melee with Ajayi, two defenders and their goalie and ball beats them all and simply goes over the line without Ayayi getting a whisker on it. I so wanted Yates to have been the scorer but alas it wasn’t to be.
As for their opener I felt Rodak’s positioning was awful. It was apparent for all to see where it was going and he left himself to much space to make up from what was a weak lob over a wall. In all honesty we could have gone on to win by two if not three more goals if Ayayi had converted one of his missed three chances. The Ball and Yates misses were also a let off for the plastics.
Overall, three points won so onwards and upwards as they say
