    Tarks in demand?

Star Article says Arsenal want him and Chelsea monitoring him, whilst Poland have made inquiries about him so Southgate needs to move soon.

    I think we have a 25% sell-on to Brentford.

Trouble is we have done it again with his contract.

We never learn with these contract extensions do we?

Why should we surrender and give them what they want; just because these "big" clubs think they have a divine right to take players off anyone they want?? It makes me sick to watch these so called "great" managers at big clubs moan they have not enough players or spent enough on quality signings!! We have 3 recognised centre backs including tarks; who we gonna get to replace him in 30 days? They have loads of players and the pick of the youth players of the country and they still and moaning they need more. When is the rest of the league that have to use normal rational economics at least by football standard going to grow a pair and say this hoarding of talent has to stop?

Unless Tarkowski signs a new contract with us pretty imminently, come June he will have to go or he walks for nothing in 18 months time and that is not how we do business at Burnley Football Club.

Yes Deadly it does seem like moneybags stamp collecting, or smaller club asset stripping.
I think Long is starting to fit in his new slot and we still have Tom Anderson out on loan on our conveyor belt of
    developing talent.
I only hope that Tarks and Mee will realise their World Cup ambitions will improve by playing regularly here in a familiar team rather than seat warming or playing in an ever changing formation every other week elsewhere.
Keane still looks lost at Everton, Gray now bench sitting even with Deeney out at Watford, are good examples for them to reflect upon.

Same for Ben Mee, Hendricks, Berg, Defour, Walters, Bardsley, Vokes and Barnes too!

Ward, Scotty and Marney end in 2018 so can start looking elsewhere next month.

Transfermarkt values Ben £5.4m Tarks £2.7m

players in demand with a year left usually go for 2-3 times that. So an offer of £30m for either will hard to resist, if they want to go.

    Long and Pope only £0.9m

Difficult balance for the board.Do we increase the salaries we pay and attract better players on longer contracts?

Problem is,of course,if you do that and things go wrong you may not be able to offload them.

Board have done great so far so just continue to trust them AND hope that we can keep the same Board.
