    Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year 2018 dun't start until 16 Feb but it is to be The Year of theDog. No, not the lot artside their parked cars darn bottom a Arndhill but The Year of Toby Tyke. I hope Big Chien dun't change our logo to a Red Dragon (shades of Bullsh1t Ben wanting to change the badge when he arrived). We need whatever luck that is going.

It’ll be that Ms Hung that’ll be wanting to faff wi stuff. She’ll be full of new and exciting ideas

On women in Football I notice Sheff Weds have a new CEO . The young woman from Charlton who was at constant war with the clubs fans ( customers).

Her biggest achievement at Charlton apart from relegation and driving all the fans away was introducing a fans sofa at the side of the pitch for those who danced and jumped the most in games to sit on as a reward.

Some fans even wanting Chansiri out of their club as they think he’s lost the plot, amazing how fast things can turn around in football .

I was reading Owlstalk last night , they sound in a right mess .

They were happy to pay the huge increase in ST's and match day tickets so long as the team were producing , not going to pay it next season .

Big problem for the owner because he needed to increase revenue to get around FFP regulations and he's put in £150m of his own brass .

Interesting to see how this pans out .

It’ll not end well, never does when you’re spending money that’s not covered by income

If they go on a winning run they could feasibly still make the top six and all this will seem crazy talk. They have the players and with the right manager they could be back in the shake up.

Football runs in three year cycles. Gary Megson called it reight when he quoted Jack Charlton. In the first year players will jump through hoops for you. The second year some players will jump but ask how high? The third year you need to move on.

It's not daft Steve. They could still reach the playoffs if they appoint the right manager. There's almost half a season left and 60 odd points to play for. A manager with a pair of balls would get them players firing. A long shot yes but possible as we are aware from what happened to us in 2016.

Unless it's right all way through the club then any coach is going to struggle .

Seems to me the wendy owner doesn't get English football or the football business over here , spectacularly gambled with £150m of his own brass and seeking a return in the PL .

They are a loyal bunch the Wendy's but not at those prices .

The owner looks out of his depth to me , even if 5k don't buy a ST next season that's a substantial loss of revenue .

Really fearful some of their fans of the potential outcome to all of this .

That penalty shootout against Huddersfield could prove very damaging and if they'd won it then it could be all so different today .

    Bloody fine lines innit .
