I always enjoy whatever Herb/Ricky writes - but confidence before a local derby - disastrous!
I’d much rather big THEM up.
Sadly, the last time I can remember such confidence from our fans, and completely the opposite from them - was shortly before a certain Boxing Day - and we all know how that turned out!

Wise words Ronnie. Derby matches more than any other games tend to go against the odds on. I thought we would batter them in the Ched season. 2-0 half time and lucky to get a draw.
I'm always outwardly pessimistic/realistic whilst inwardly believing. Hot air before a game invites a huge kick in the bollux. Never understood why anyone wants that.

No overconfidence from me. No arrogance. I've not said we'll batter them or anything like that. I even say we can't afford to be overconfident and that I expect a tight game. The thread's not about 'giving it em' at all.

We could say what we want online and it won't affect Wilder and his players, they're too professional for that.

We don't have to worry about our preparation. Wilder will go above and beyond for this.

Giving it the billy big bolox before a Derby match is pretty stupid and leaves you open to looking incredibly stupid.

I don't venture on to any of the Wendy forums so I don't know what their feelings on the game are.

Surely they can't have the same opinions they had prior to September 24th

I mean, I know we scored four lucky goals and all that but surely they must have a modicum of humility knocked into them since.

That was the last time i was confident of givin the Grunters a poundin Ronaldo,i heard a BLADE on P or G last night sayin they can get ready a week on Friday and i looked at my youngest and he said not many BLADES come out wi that crap dad is there,i agreed.UTCB
