There's a right way ,there's a wrong way and of course there's the "Burnley" way Army.. Some things never change

Just think that we have been caught with our pants down again, imagine leaving Defour till 2 days from transfer window for scans when he's been playing with the injury anyway.
It's as if we are reluctant to sign players when we have players for that position ( truthfully if they were good enough they'd be playing every week in that position ) .
That sounds a bit cruel on some of the lads but once again we are left with IMO the engine room missing from middle of the park - the man with a spark who's never afraid to receive the ball and can distribute it with ease.
( I often wander how good Defour would be if we actually got a player with enough flair and talent to read what he's doing).
Anyway the post was that we are slow to react again , the argument is maybe we'll get over the 40 point mark and be safe , however I would have liked us to sign player- players to make us better and take us forward to compete.( exception of Lennon - where I wait to see ).
Just feel now this happened we have gone two steps back not forward.

I really think the hierarchy believe we have done enough to survive this season and we should strengthen in the Summer window.I dread to think what will happen on Saturday against Citeh.
I've given my ticket to my lad's mate. They can go and watch us getting tanked.
I'm going golfing.![]()
OMG! If I can dig it out I have somewhere a photo taken by the Lancashire Evening Telegraph of me and my sister stood in the pouring rain on the Bee hole End 24/1/1987, watching us get hammered 6-0 by Hereford United. We were the only two left standing!
That game reminds me of just how far from the brink we have come and I constantly try to rein in my expectations now, but I still think with a bit of crafty wheeling and dealing we could do better.
...and I don't mean doing daft stuff like buying Joe Worrall for £20 million either!
I can remember only about 15 years ago, driving up for two days from the south of France, through miserable December weather to see us play Rotherham just before Christmas. I got to Turf Moor about 10 minutes before kick off, knackered and stressed out. Rotherham beat us 6-2. Whatever happens against City, it won't feel as bad as that.
sinkov --we all have similar experiences. I am in my 65th season of supporting the Clarets and have never lived closer than 100 miles from the Turf since 1966, however, I still get the buzz from being able to go an see my team play, although I have to admit that I am not a lover of the PL, in spite of --or because of----the financial damage it is doing to the game in general.
The thread asks whether we are ill-prepared --personally I don't think that we are because you just cannot cover every eventuality -----if that was possible we would have been back in the top division many years ago!
My maxim is ---Expect nothing and you will never be disappointed!!
My advice is to get yourself to matches whilst you can and make the most of it. I am stuck at home and unable to drive at the moment and I am missing my trips to the Turf, in fact, I may well have to forego my ST for next season because I may be unable to get down to Burnley ---not a nice thought! Fortunately, I will be able to watch our game on TV this weekend and, regardless of the result, I shall still enjoy watching MY team!
