A lesson from history: the last time there was a ‘stadium announcement’ it was a Tuesday night in early 96, the announcement that the club were going for the Pride Park option. We were TOP of the chamionship that day, and from then on our form dipped gradually, setting up that squeaky-bum finale against Crystal Palace. I really don’t fancy all that again.

Oh God, I do hope not. Make plans by all means, but let’s save the public pronouncements till the job’s done. Pretty sure this will go to the last day of the season or Wembley so let’s not be ‘counting chickens’ or ‘crossing any bridges’ just yet.

The club have decided to buy all those new houses at the old BBG, knock them down and build a new 60,000 BBG with safe standing Popside and Ossie End. 😍
