Interesting, because the average points needed to get into the play-offs over the past 10 Championship seasons is 74, (the highest was 80, last year, and the lowest 68 in the 2012/13 season), and we've currently got 44, so it gives some idea of the challenge facing LUFC - 30 pts in 16 games......

Or looking at it more positively, assuming we beat them tomorrow that's 27 from 16, which somehow feels much more achievable. And makes tomorrow a 'must win' (if any LUFC game isn't a 'must win' of course...........)

Said in another post we have a tasty time coming up, Feb/March will separate the men from the boys...but doesn't it always. We have to believe and get stuck in. I'm (as always) in the never say never camp, till proven otherwise.

I will be over for the wendies & Bolton games so looking forward.

There's only 5 teams in that list that on paper we should struggle against coz their squads are good, the rest we should be beating as our squad either matches them or betters them. SIMPLE!

You mean like we should have beaten Hull, Millwall, Forest, Birmingham, Newport and Ipswich?

with a fully fit squad, or mostly fully fit, we'd be still in the top 6

The sad thing about all of this season is that I think if we kept this core together and brought some of the U-23's up we'd be a force next year. Hell, if we just played a season without losing 3/4 of our team to injuries and suspensions we'd be a contender for automatic promotion next season. But then again if the queen had balls she'd be king.

we don't normally think that way and expect wholesale changes including coaches, players and club management.

We aren't the only team that has had injuries, every team could say the same thing. You get promoted with your squad not having a fit first 11. We are where we are because it is what this team deserves.
