    Britain's No 1 Sports journo....by far.

They were talking about the brilliant football Spurs and Liverpool play this morning on Sky's Sunday Supplement, when Neil Ashton suddenly asked the Independent's Jonathan Liew,

"Who's your favourite team to watch in the Premier League, if you had a spare Saturday afternoon and were wanting to watch a PL fixture, where would you be happy to part with your money ?"

Liew simply replied "Burnley", which resulted in a stunned silence for a few seconds, and looks of incredulity on the faces of the other three.

He was then invited to explain himself and said, "I love watching Burnley. If you look at the way Burnley play without the ball, there's a kind of choreography to them, everybody's spaced right, everybody knows their jobs, somebody shifts over, the full-back moves up, the centre-back shifts over, there's a kind of beauty to it, and I like the way they have a really clear idea of the way they want to play football, and they carry it out."

I had to go and lie down afterwards to recover from the shock of a London based journo on a national paper saying this about us. Clearly Jonathan Liew will be Sports Journalist of the Year for this insightful analysis and appreciation of the way Burnley play under Sean Dyche, the beauty of which most other journos and pundits haven't the wit or intelligence to notice.

And sadly, neither do some of our fans.

sinkov--- your last statement says it all! There is a definite art in the way in which we play, although we know that it doesn't please many fans.
In the 1959/60 season when we were Champions there was an average throughout the league of 3.85 goals per game.
Last season, in this over-hyped Premier League, there was an average of 2.8 goals per game and yet I am told that football is much better to watch these days.
Fortunately, I love watching my team play and I think that we have adapted and are continuing to adapt to the task in hand.

This might sound like I am jumping on the bandwagon but I said exactly the same thing on Wednesday night post-match in Newcastle.

Even with a depleted team who had not played much together, the players were fully orchestrated and knew exactly their individual roles. Up and down, back to side, onwards and forwards! Honestly, I fcuking love Sean Dyche!
