    The Most British of Teams

A back handed compliment from PEP? Was he relieved to go home with a point because Ederson’s save from Lennon was absolutely world class.

This is what happens when you run up against Sean Dyche...

I thought it was a complement from Pep, although he appeared to be saying it through gritted teeth, I think he has a lot of respect for Dyche, Burnley and the different, possibly unique, challenge we pose for his City team. I think he will also have noted there were no dangerous, bone crunching tackles from this so called physical, British team City were facing.

It's also what happens when you pay £50 million for a striker who's a complete w@nker.

Don't know about you sinkov but Lennon at a couple of million looks to me like the buy of the century!

I loved his enthusiasm and desire for the ball. What a great signing!

I agree BT, it can sometimes take a while for players to adapt to Dyche's way of playing, Berg for instance was all over the place for his first half dozen games, and I really thought Lennon might be a weak link defensively for his first few games. Not a bit of a it, he worked his socks off and was working well with both full-backs all the game, it looked like he'd been coached by Sean all his career. He's a real bonus, we now have PL ability on both wings at last.

An obviously fully fit 30 year old professional footballer with 21 full England caps and more than 300 EPL games behind him does not represent a risky signing. I thought Lennon and Gudmundsson in the last twenty minutes yesterday were ripping City apart.
Just another fantastic bit of transfer business from SD.
A pity we did not manage to acquire another centre half but hey ho!

Not so sure as he linked it to us playing Long ball passes, of which our 25% compared with his lots 10%.
