Not a big fan of slipping and sliding about on ice and snow, but I am partial to a bit of violence, is there any Ice Hockey on?

Womens starting tomorrow and the mens starting on 14 February--if memory serves me correctly. Obviously there is no GB involvement

We're just not very good at it are we Ss, I can remember when I used to watch it, we used to import Canadians and East Europeans, they were 3rd raters in their own countries, but they were miles better than our lads.

    .

as I read it - in 1924....at the first winter olympics (Chamonix France) there were 16 events and Britain managed to win a total of 4 medals - that number of medals wasn't matched again, until Sochi in 2014 with it's 98 events.
At this Pyeongchang Olympics - there'll be 102 events.

    should they've sent the bird.....?

    Funny, the Winter Olympics.

I tend to watch without much interest. It's hypnotic watching skiers finishing within 0.1 second of each other or bobsleigh teams, ski jumpers all finishing very close to each other.

But what saves the day is that there is always the chance of one of the competitors being really sh1te, and crashing in a sensational way.

There is something about curling which I like as well.
