I think TEC knows a bit more about the Burnley squad than these ubiquitous footballing journos..?

    Here’s the LET

    Nick Pope 7
Not much he could do with goals. Made saves you’d expect and showed safe hands late on.

    Matt Lowton 8
One excellent early covering tackle to deny Davies. Defended well, crossing good and created goal with lovely pass.

    James Tarkowski 7
Scuffed a clearance that gave Walcott a first half chance but so composed on the ball aside from that

    Ben Mee 7
Looked unnerved at times in first half as Everton broke from deep but settled down after the break

    Stephen Ward 7
Beaten by Walcott for first half chance but solid in the second half as Burnley piled forward

    Johann Berg Gudmundsson 8
Another fine performance. Had chances to score and looked a threat in the final third. Another assist

    Jack Cork 7
Midfield was open in the first half as Davies and Sigurdsson charged forward, but battled well

    Ashley Westwood 7
Positionally excellent in the second half, stifling Everton’s counters. Deserves a run in the side

Aaron Lennon 9 (Man of the Match)
Showed his former club they might have been wrong to let him go. Got all 90 minutes on the right and produced an old-school wingers display. Ran at Cuco Martina all afternoon and had the beating of him inside and out. Created a couple of good chances with direct play and crosses. Has increased Burnley’s attacking threat

    Jeff Hendrick 5
Just not happening for him as a number 10 at the moment, struggling to get to grips with the role offensively

    Ashley Barnes 8
Unlucky with first half header but much better with a partner in Wood. Took his goal really well and could have had another.

Lowton Barnes 9 the rest 8 & Hendrick ? did he even play, cannot understand why we persevere with him in an attacking midfielder/ number 10 role he is completely ineffective & more often than not wasteful when he does get the ball. its like starting every match a man down.

I didn't realise that they scored more than one!
