Local Football .... Shaw Lane AFC sack manager

Shaw Lane AFC have today parted company with 1st team manager Paul Quinn, along with assistant manager Rob Wilson and coach Dave Thompson.

"Unfortunately after suffering a fourth straight defeat and without scoring a single goal we felt a fresh impetus was required." Explained Chairman Craig Wood.

"Having dropped out of the play off positions it is imperative that we look to appoint a new management team that can work with the existing squad of players.

"I believe, and have believed all season, that they are capable of challenging for promotion this season.

"I would like to thank Paul and his team for the work they have put in during their short tenure.

"It was a very difficult decision for me to make personally as they have been very professional during their time at the club."

News of any developments will follow in due course.

Yeh good call , what about sacking the numpty who cost them league points for fielding an ineligible player the other week .

That said still in the mix for a play off spot with a fair few games to go given they have a few in hand .
