New player for the Easter games?

Well, not exactly new, but new for this season. The article on the official site suggests Michael O'Connor could be fit enough to play a part for the rest of the season. If he can come back in something like his old form, he could be just what we need to partner Hewitt in the centre of midfield. Noble was good against the inbreds, but a waste of a shirt at Chesterfield. O'Connor has the much needed physical presence that no-one else in the squad can offer, I look forward to seeing him in a Notts shirt again.

Noble was a waste of a shirt against Chesterfield but I can also think of 10 others . My lad, he loves O'Connor ( and Hewitt ) , being the football expect in our family , who am i to argue.

Snobhead . Give the "inbreds " thing a rest yer numpty.

Yaaaaaawn. Who the f*ck do you think you are telling others what to post? I'll type what I want, and you type what you want.

If I wanted advice on posting, you are just about the last person I would turn to.

If we are supposed to have a fully fit squad where is Rob Milsom and why hasn't he been at least on the bench for the last few weeks or more?

I agree, and that's what I always say. Not sure you've always backed people up who take that stance though.

But the thing about this thread is, we know from experience (not just at Notts, think Rooney, for example) that returning from a long lay off is not easy and it takes time to get match fit. You can only get match fit by playing matches and inevitably players are off the pace at first. A bit like Noble, who may improve.

O’Connor’s been out for a year, there’s no chance of him making a meaningful contribution this year.

This year? "Season" I presume you meant - yes, 4 or 5 sub appearances needed to start getting match fit - might be ok for the play-offs if we get there.
