What apps and social media do people use??

    I’m on Twitter
    Snapchat
    WhatsApp

    I hate Facebook
If I was single I would love to give tinder a go

Keeping in contact with family and friends home and abroad has never been easier

Facebook is good for keeping up with the various news platforms. Also a lot of crap on there and it's very different from even just 5 years ago because people aren't really active in the same way. At least that's my experience. I think it'll fade away one day.

I love Instagram because I love following people I like, respect, support, know etc. but it's always combined with a photo. For instance, following the players of this club can give you a real insight into things we don't normally see and that's quite interesting (at times). Again there's a lot of crap though.

Snapchat is cool because you're not sharing it with the world, but only a chosen few (but if you think your photo just disappears you're a fool. Sorry).

Never got into Twitter. Never have used WhatsApp. I know quite a few now that have met their current girlfriends on Tinder and personally I don't think there's anything wrong with using an app for meeting people, which seems to be the opinion of a lot people. For me, I don't like the dating game and the obvious 'I'm available' statement that you automatically make through being on Tinder.

    I use:

    Facebook
    Twitter
    WhatsApp

Facebook because that was thing when i was at school so it is just too convenient now to get rid of. I've found it really good for news things that i wouldn't have looked at otherwise though, via things people share.

WhatsApp because it is very good for group chats.

Twitter - i hated but now use a lot for keeping track of political stuff. I've got my twitter and my political account etc.

    I use:

Facebook (Same as Hughie ) - constantly but have closed it down for 10 days until my birthday is over - hate all those HB messages from peeps I never see,
Twitter - politics and football but rarely use it myself
WhatsApp - part of FB but do use it occasionally
    Messenger - use that occasionally
Instagram - rarely but got it

More than enough information flowing from them..

Hate that too. Which is why I'm happy to inform you that you can remove your birthdate from FB (or at least the function that shows it to other people) so they don't know if it's your birthday.

    aahhhh happy birthday

facebook, I agree that it will close/fade away fairly soon. the personal stuff from friends is far outnumbered by the ads/media stuff most of which is boring.

messenger - for things a bit more private that i dont want on fb

whatsapp again.. and for those who don't use fb or messenger

twitter, i keep forgetting about until someone says something specific to twitter

    think thats it

I use facebook purely because it is a good platform for buying and selling stuff locally.

Couldn't give a toss about the rest as I am not into social interaction.

I don't actually think Facebook the company will fade away.

Facebook the social media platform i could see but hte company have so many fingers, in so many pies these days, not all social media related. I don't think the company will fade.

In 50 years time, i think there is a better than good chance Zukerberg will be topping rich lists.

He's well on his way at $62 billion. Amazing what you can earn from adverts innit.
