Hard to imagine really, but as only five English players are in double figures for goals this season, and two of them are Glenn Murray and Wayne Rooney, then Ash can't be that far down the pecking order can he.

Barnes playing for England, surely you jest? Not that he hasn’t earned some consideration, but Southgate would need special dispensation from the Ivory Towers within the FA for that to happen. To Quote Claude Jeremiah Greengrass from ‘Heartbeat’……….”and pigs might”.

If Barnes has any aspirations about playing international footy, Austria would be his best bet.

came close to throwing the win away - first half and Brom put men on the pitch - but honestly....may as well have been mannequins - so going in at half time with only the 1 goal up - was woeful - Second half they lifted their game a notch - and we struggled with it - a team at the bottom of the Prem - and playing like it....but made it tense up until the final whistle.
No mention of Tarks defending I see TEC - at least Pope didn't conceal his discontent.

Barnes for England, well as we don't have much of the special anyway - why not....he can blast em and as of recently - mostly hits the target.
