    Ben Mee

Nothing much in the news about him at all. Is there any interest or will he have to eat humble pie and climb down from his supposed £80k a week expectations. Not playing can’t help his cause. I suspect he will be stuck here and go on a free next year.

According to TEC, Burnley have two interested parties tabling £20 million, both are currently in the top six of the EPL.

Dyche is keen to keep Mee at Turf Moor and a very decent four year contract extension is on the table.

The ball is firmly in Ben's court.

I'm a great admirer of Ben Mee, I just cannot understand him wanting away for more money, he's probably on 1 and a half Million £'s a year, surely he can live off that ?

As for wanting a top club with regular European Football, you have to be very confident of your skills and be a good player to keep your place with these "top Clubs" as there are many good players already at these Clubs waiting for their chance, look at Keane, he's at a reasonable Club in Everton but not pulling up any trees and Mee as much as we all love him has a tendency to "throw one in".

If Mee's heart is not in Burnley Football Club I'm sure Dyche's want of him to stay will wane sooner than later and he'll stop bothering.

Mee has always had his Lion's heart beating when he has played for us Alto. The new offer of £45k a week puts him at the very pinnacle of our wage structure.

This is just my perception, but I think he has been tapped and I also believe he thinks he has more chance of playing for the Three Lions if he is away from Burnley.

Agreed with that Bt - I still think he has one in him every game.

What I do know is the back 4 is better with him in it and Tarkowski functions better when he's alongside him.

It will be interesting to see if we get another more established center back if Tarkowski can improve again with a more experienced partner at his side. ( not sure Dyche will chance starting with Long or a lesser experienced player )

I'm very sceptical about this shin injury - more a convenient excuse for Dyche to "punish" Mee for not signing a new deal.

If we'd have needed points to avoid relegation, I reckon Mee would have played in the last few matches and would be playing tomorrow. According to Dyche, Mee was "close" for the Stoke match and even closer for the Arsenal game.

That's the Dyche way, I'm afraid to say.
