Players you think we may end up with next season

Obviously when the dust settles the rumours of moves in and out will start. Plenty could go, or maybe not. Some may come in but who knows.

Who do you think we may end up with?

One who wouldn’t surprise me is Robert Huth at Leicester.
Experienced for sure and a bit like Terry, a leader. Is 33 so will bring the average age of the squad down a bit!!! Can see Dawson going although I hope not. McAuley for me should retire now and we will be forever greatful for what a great player he has been for us.
As Huth is a free agent maybe the sort of player we will be looking at - no transfer fee, at the end of his career and looking for one last big salary contract for 2 or 3 years.

No thanks, had enough of those type, and Brunty has the experience. Hopefully we scout some young relatively unknown players to go with the likes of Burke and Field.
Had enough of old out of contract has beens.

Good job fans aren’t treated in the same way as players Des.....you’d be out on your ear in place of someone who can still “Boing, boing”.

I'd be quite happy to keep McCauley in a coaching capacity. He's the right type of character, good around the squad I hear...

Incomings, depends on who leaves. If we keep Hegazi and Dawson then we wouldn't need Huth.

We don't need a keeper as Foster has said he wants to stay.

I hope Field/Leko/Burke can take their chance now. It would be nice to sign a new right back, Nyom will probably do a job in the championship but not in the prem where we hope to return to...

Hopefully we'll keep Gibbs. So that's our defence sorted. We have enough options in midfield right now, unless we sell players who would need to be replaced.

I'd quite like the average age of the squad to come down and some youth and pace injected. I also think we should start searching high and low for Brunt's replacement. He's 33 and won't go on forever, we might get another season or two out of him. His set pieces will be hugely missed, how many goals have they contributed to us in the past?

    I am with you 55.

I never said I wanted to see Huth at the club. The thread is who do you think we will end up with. Completely different to what you think we need. I can’t see the management splashing the cash even if we get funds via sales of Chadli, Dawson etc.

I think if we have Dean Smith as manager Yarm he will have a lot of knowledge of uncut diamonds.
