    Let me be the first......

Every year there are moans about moving game times and days because of the demands of Sky TV. This season it's going to be worse, any sort of progress in the Europa League and Saturday afternoon games will be as rare as Rocking Horse ****e. So can I be first to get my moan in,

We've fixed up a Turf Moor pre-season friendly against Montpelier, but because we play in the Europa League on Thursday 26 July, they've arranged the game for Sunday afternoon 29 July, instead of the normal Saturday afternoon KO, and it just so happens I'm already booked in for Pontefract races that Sunday afternoon.

It's only June 1st and yet already, because of that bloody Europa League, something's got to give in my sporting schedule. FFS !! Here we go again.

Sinkov--surely you have got used to this by now ---the fans who attend matches are no longer important to the game. Every way possible must be utilised to ensure that anyone travelling to any game is inconvenienced by one thing or another. You should try doing a 300 mile round trip to a home game that kicks off at either 12-30 or 5-30 on a Saturday or 1-30 on a Sunday!
I love games which kick off at 3 o'clock on a Saturday ---life just seems normal on those days.

I hear your pain sinkov, but SD is clearly repeating the Thursday, Sunday playing pattern to get his players tuned in.

I tend not to bother with the pre-season friendlies and suggest you crack on with the Champagne quaffing and seafood platter swallowing you so openly indulge in?

I'm not blaming Sean BT, of course we have to play Thursday/Sunday, it's just that I wasn't anticipating disruption at this early stage. I do like pre-season friendlies for some reason, they can be boring I know, one at Blackpool three or so years back was appalling, but the vast majority of our league games are boring as well, so why worry.

I think Ponty will win out though and I'll give the footy a miss. And just to put the record straight, I do not 'openly indulge' in Champagne quaffing and seafood platter swallowing, I go in the Champagne and Seafood bar, it's too expensive for the hoi polloi, so I indulge myself, if not in splendid isolation, at least in refined company. No riff-raff will be offended, they'll be eating their pie, chips and gravy in the Silver Ring, totally unaware of the delights on offer just a few short yards away.

Yeah, but look at it another way. You go to the game ,Burnley win 3-0,one player cracks in a beauty, after all that inflated energy, passion, 'ego trip' is relaeased. '' Ahhhh !!!! What a phooockin goal that was ,phooking great ,as you all drink together in the pub after.
But if you loose it all gets released on...................Wife's; Babies; Children; Older children; Other interests; compelled to attend functions and Restaurants; Entertainment venues etc .

I don't take it well when we lose Balan, it's why I've never owned a cat.
