Another strange appointment by Barnsley but that's what you tend to get with foreign owners.
I wonder what Animal thinks about it?

One Barnsley fan asked can he speak English I thought that’s a bit rich coming from Barnsley lads.Looks like a decent bloke so good luck to them, still should have gone for Ronnie.

We've known since sunday that he was the chosen one and it was just a case of agreeing his financial terms , length of contract and our ambitions .

Initially I was sceptical , another foreign coach without a clue regarding the demands of english football at a club of our size perhaps .

Having done a little research I'm actually quite excited by his appointment , he was treated very badly by Hannover 96 who he had in the promotion places before a new director of football sacked him after a little wobble following their mid winter break , they were duly promoted at the end of the season but the fans were furious he was dismissed and he remains very popular in Hannover , a good sign .

He comes in with the benefit of pre-season , transfer window and a less forgiving league than the last incumbent had to endure .

Besides he's German , German's are adaptable , resourceful and mentally strong and do things the right way and well , very professional and he will be fully aware of the task and our expectations .

He promises to bring an attacking counter press style of football , it should suit a young squad with an average age of 22 .

    Cautiously optimistic .

Sounds like you've convinced yourself then mate 😊
It will be interesting to see what he does on the recruitment front.
    Best of luck.

Animal, is there any truth in the rumour that at the ground Barnsley Chops are out and Hamburgers in?

No but the pre match entertainment will be conducted by an ooompah band .

You can also book a specific seat in the stadium by simply placing a towel over it instead of a pre booked match ticket .

They are going to have to be fit , super fit in fact to play this system , the ever willing Moore and Bradshaw should prosper with it , Moncur and Thiam possibly not .

Anyone not prepared to put the work in won't be involved .

He's come with a plan and I like that , b@llacks to the opposition , this is us so try and stop it .

Thank you for your good wishes mellow .

Young, hungry and very fit players.

Hmm, I think I've heard those sentiments somewhere before. Wasn't one of our local clubs successful using those methods this season? 😉
