    Next season

I have to say that I am really impressed with the work Notts have done to get these deals done & dusted so early.

Watching the interview with Tommo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXSoXkd81cw) highlights that the management team knew we were one dimensional in attack last season, and are taking really positive steps to rectify that, and give us some great options.

I'm always optimistic for the new season, but that was normally based on pure hopium. This time I feel optimistic not just for the coming season, but for the next few years to come. It's a good time to be a pie!

I agree, they now have a whole pre-season to work together and get organised instead of the usual last minute scramble

This pre season is going to be the biggest test Kevin Nolan has had as a manager.
I am assuming we have signed all our 'A' list players and those players would have discussed the style of play Notts County were going to play.
Yes we were one dimensional in attack but then again we were all over the pitch.
I don't think any Notts' supporter expected us to be at the top for so long and to end up in a creditable 5th place, so the expectation is certainly going to be high for next season. I really hope it comes together well.

Not sure I agree with his toughest assignment since being manager. I would have thought keeping a team in the League who had just lost 10 games in a row would have been. He will, quite rightly, be licking his lips at the prospect of 2018/2019 season.
