    Dunfermline / fun crowd

Got a rare win in the city today, watched the first half, was very one sided in the pars favour, they looked decent, certainly fancy them to break their 15 game winless run against us unless we improve bigtime (or the players go rogue and ignore the clown)

The fun looked as bad as us though so hard to gauge

Another note since a lot was made of our crowd when we were already out and fans swerved yesterday, they had less todaythan we had v Arbroath last week, however for a like for like comparison, we played the pars in the group two seasons ago around the same time on a Sunday on BT Sport

    31/07/2016
    2nd tier United 2-0 Dunfermline - 4,951
    22/07/2018
    top tier Dundee 0-1 Dunfermline - 2,870

the dees improved in the 2nd half tbh. still looked dodgy as hell at the back but should have scored themselves imo. dunfermline looked really good 1st half and were resolute in 2nd. hard to judge either team tbh.
dunfermline without Vincent and El bak who couldnt play v parent team but youd imagine would be important players for them when available so might be even better never know.
Dundee looked similar to us tbh. some decent moves and so on but looked shaky when put under any pressure. they need a striker badly! cant take their chances then theyll be in big trouble this year.

interestingly i noticed dunfermline have played ALOT more friendlies than us (think it was 5/6) not including cup games. looked better prepared than ourselves?

Crowd debates are completely pointless tbh so not going to even comment on it other than for a game in middle of july in the cup it wasnt a great crowd but being on tv wouldnt have helped. Not that our support has been great in last two home games (cup game or not)

It's not a debate, there is no debate to be had, even now that our crowds are less than before, if we go down that route many thing are pointless

The above is a like for like comparison, both Sunday games, both on TV, in July both in bet fred group stage, both vs second tier pars who brought 500-600 to both games, only difference is the fun being top tier, we had just been relegated

They are the wee team, we will be back at some stage

Dundee looked as **** as us tbf side to side passing etc. Although they eventually created chances. They should try and play every game like its to relegate us. They may win a trophy someday nah only kiddin'

Dundee were hopeless in the first half, mind you having Moussa injured was been a blow to both morale and actual talent on pitch.

The fun need to remember how llittle they have to be proud of. Shabba is a bit **** but I hope there is a good turnout and supportive attitude towards the players when we face the pars. We have to Hoodoo over them and it's a huge marker for the season to keep it up. Shed rule

I will be there and back the team to the hilt despite how I'm feeling about the clown, it's the league opener at home, I hope Utd fans turn out and are positive in the day...

ive written to Mike Martin the imposter chairman. Wont do **** all but i feel better. Suggest another 3000 do. Wasnt in any way rude or aggressive. Simply - if you keep the clown on do you really know what you are doing. Your call, your bed, your legacy.

I think that for people who are adamant that he needs to go (I personally was disgusted that he was given a summer window but feel that now he has bought a team with 2 year deals we would be branded as foolish for sacking him before our first league game) a mass of letters and/or formal petition would be a wise way to go about it. I take my 6 year old boy to united games and he loves it when there is a chant going and he can go on to shout on the team. The last thing we need is a toxic, self destructive atmosphere at tannadice. Obviously it would help if shabba could use one of the largest budgets in this league to serve up some entertaining, creative attacking football. Here's fuxcking hoping.

He's been in the door for five minutes ffs. Folk really do let their negativity completely consume them sometimes.
