    Business end

Gents, seems we're here at the business end of the market. Been way too much noise, no action. Smoke and mirrors all the way. Hold your bottle for the bargains. That is of course where we are shopping folks, a trip down to Morrisons 7pm ish, if anyone has been there they know what I mean.

Gibson, Rodriguez and Clucas inbound. Why are we worrying?

we haven't agreed a fee for any of them yet, lets not get carried away

Sinkov has just said on a different thread, we are clearly not far away on valuation and wages. I hope Garlick stops the prevarication and just does it! Last night showed just how desperately we need reinforcements.

It really would be beyond crazy to sabotage SD's last five years work for the sake of a couple of million quid either way. Just sign the bleeding cheques!

Are we still paying cash up front then. Most deals are staged payments or so I thought,

A few of us discussed this last night over a pint or two OC. We all agreed that this is probably the sticking point. Burnley always want to pay by installments!

It will be the stupid wages that players are demanding that will be the stumbling block.
Pay wages way over the top for any of the suggested possible incoming players and you have disharmony throughout the dressing room and that will do more harm than anything in any squad.

BT I remember in our first PL season clubs laughing at us for paying in full.

I agree though if we are paying tax on profits and I think we paid £5m last year, I’d rather we put the money into players than HMRS

OC --I am not talking about the odd thousand more because that is normal, however, it appears that some of the prospects are talking 15 to 20 thousand per week more than those players already in situ and this is why I feel that it would cause disharmony. The only time it wouldn't is if you signed a real 'name' player.
