Barnsley to sign Callum Styles ?

arnsley received an undisclosed cut of the £15 million fee paid by Fulham for Mawson.

Barnsley are spending some their windfall from Alfie Mawson's Fulham transfer on Bury's Callum Styles, according to the Sun's live blog (Monday 6th August).

Barnsley received an undisclosed cut of the £15 million fee received by Swansea City, who acquired Mawson from the Tykes two years ago.

And £500,000 of that is heading in Bury's direction, according to the Sun, which reports that Styles due to sort out personal terms later today.

Attacking midfielder Styles has played 27 times for Bury, for whom he has created three goals.

But Saturday's 1-0 win against Yeovil Town could prove to be the 18-year-old's final outing in Shakers colours.

HITC Sport exclusively reported last month that Barnsley turned down an identical offer from an unnamed Championship for Brad Potts, who plays in Styles' position.

He’s meant to be a great young player, one for the future . The club just can’t do right in some people’s eyes !

He’s supposedly really talented, I’m glad we’re signing young talent like this but each to their own I suppose

Happy so long as we don't sell Bradshaw to fund it.

I'm pleased too and it shows we're not whealin' n' dealin'. He's going out on loan so that puts the one in one out theory to bed. Just want us to sign another striker to sign because if Bradshaw does want out we'd be better off in long run.

Although I cant understand why any player would want to leave the sixth richest club in England with someone at the helm that knows his ar5ehole from his elbow that's on the up.

    Nowt as queer as folk.
