O/T Predicted Riots

As Brexit gets nearer so does the risk of people taking advantage of the situation.

This was mentioned on another thread but I think that it deserves its own.

Personally I don't think that the scare mongering will come to anything. The power of the pound is still an asset and the world will want to deal with the UK. On saying that I reckon that there are factions of society who will be ready to riot. I don't think that they will be massive numbers who start it but many more will join in.

the professional complainers are always there, the ones you see hugging trees and other pastimes, quick to join into any protest march.

I don't think we will get riots over food shortages, but if we don't sort out immigration there will be race related riots.

Its a bit like the millenium bug thing when we were lead to believe planes would fall out of the sky, death and pestilence everywhere and the three horsemen of the apocalypse would ride forth. Think thats the whole point about it we will be in the same old shyte with or without brexit so we wont notice any difference.

There will only be race riots if races are scapegoated as the blame for the problem Mr Grist. EVERYONE living here will be affected by Brexit if there is going to be an effect at all. And I would argue the poorest, weakest and least represented will suffer most as per feckin usual. I can't see the fat cats and wealthy suffering much and joining the barricades.

A referendum should never have been called on such a complex economic and political decision.The average person cant decypher all the facts that were presented to them and that includes me.Even so called learned politicians cant agree which is the best way forward.At the end of the day life will go on.

Also re "nakedtruth" - I wondered what had happened to Grist - was he banned? (Not that I would be complaining if he was)... or maybe he "banned himself", like another well known poster on here, who has recently "unbanned himself"... there's some strange folk about...

So let me get this straight. Mike reckoned Kerr was Kempo. Roly decided Mike was right and started calling Kerr Kempo. Now Kerr reckons Naked is Grist so Roly starts calling Naked Grist too. I don't mind if it means the gang stop saying I'm Kempo, Zilzal and IBS for a while. You couldn't make this up.
