    The League Cup

Do any fans on here still look at this as an important cup, in the league season ?.
Yes I know there are still some upsets along the way, and this keeps the interest going etc. But when almost every club and almost every single fan talks about the League being more important after a defeat in this cup, and the fact that their teams have made almost 10 changes for these matches...

Isn't this a pointless competition these days ?.

The League Cup has lost its gloss Acido, same as the FA Cup has, for me anyway.

Im the same Alto, I think it lost its appeal a long time ago now. Yes it was a good idea for them to scrap the ridiculous 2 leg ties when they did, but it was and still will always be looked at as the poor mans FA Cup (whatever that means).

I remember years ago Man Utd played an exhibition game in Malaysia and by doing so missed the 3rd Round of the FA Cup because the game in Malaysia earned them more money, the powers that be didn't do anything about it, I'd have banned them for 10 years for taking the P!ss.

Was that in the late 90's Alto, a year or two after we/Burnsley had kicked them out of the FA Cup ?.
And I think in the FA Cup draw that season, a certain teams number got picked as a 'bye', a so called lucky winner etc. They went through by the fact that the despicable ManUre stuck two fingers up at all of us in the English game.
