    O/T Site security

I don't know if everyone has noticed or is aware?
But if you check your address bar, you will note that this network is not secure.
There is no padlock on the address label and as such is wide open to hacker abuse.

Please be aware of this and never put ANY of your personal information in here publicly. You could become a victim.

It's because it's just HTTP rather than HTTPS, its not a massive issue for a message board, just means you're at risk of being man in the middled. If someone wants to do that for a football message board, then they live a sad life. Just don't make payments over here. Also your ISP knows every thread you've clicked on. Sure it's a privacy concern but not exactly a mega issue, you shouldn't post personal info on a public forum anyway

How does making it a secure site safeguard against posting personal details?

An issue will arise when browsers are configured not to connect to insecure sites and then the footymad owners will have to shell out for a certificate and we'll get even more advertising. Has anybody checked to see how many advertisers are set to collect information? And that would apply https or not.
