Donny Coming To Take Us On

Make a nice change to see a team come here and not park the bus .

Whether McCann is playing games I don't know , possibly although I do know they are struggling in the centre of their defence for saturday with suspensions and injuries so maybe he thinks it's a free game and he may as well go for it .

McCann ain't a mug though and I'm sure it will be a tough game for us .

Not a chance! If they park the bus we will win one or two nil, if they attack us we will hit em for at least four.....mark my words get us in your accumulators we are beginning to fire properly, won the last four league games with no reply, Davies back in goal, Mowatt signed a new contract as long as Stendel doesn't let them get over confident tomorrow is a guaranteed 3 points.
    Onwards and upwards....You Redssssssssssssssss

It's never that straight forward with us perky , I'm confident but ...........

Mind you a lad on the donny forum thinks Coppinger will boss the midfield , aye it's to be hoped at his age he can still fecking run because if he wants to boss the midfield that's going to be what it takes , 38 years old isn't he ?

Coppinger deserves his due respect. Very good pro over the years, past his best but as players mature it's seldom they run round like headless chickens, they develop a knowledge and knack of where to run and when. He's still very dangerous and a threat at this level. Our lot certainly have work ethic, he has brains and vast experience, he cut it in the championship which is more than can be said for some of our midfielders. It will be an interesting challenge for our young midfield

I take your point pass and I agree Coppinger is a very good pro whose served Donny well at 3 different levels .

The thing is , if Donny are going to be open and takes us on it changes the narrative altogether .

Our midfield lads have some legs and some more on the bench if needed , he's going to have to do an incredible amount of running because we will boss the ball , the quality of our final ball or the option we take isn't always great but they do run and work hard to close you down and win it back asap .

A different strategy from McCann might suit Coppinger more , the Donny lads are adamant they won't park the bus because they haven't the players to do it .

Interesting afternoon ahead , to say the least .
