Coupled with Trevor Carson's announcement that he won't play again this season then we don't have our troubles to seek and, of course, they're only going to get worse. Still that does open the door for the fringe players like Liam Grimshaw. I'm not in the least worried about Gillespie as he was always pencilled in as this season's keeper and is pefroming well so far. We are however already short of pace and width. Maybe a return for Jake Hastie in January and a chance for him to show what he can do. Indeed, Gillespie seems like a more than capable replacement for Carson. Bad news for Chris Cadden but I also think Grimshaw is a decent replacement. It's when we get to January and suspensions and picking up any more injuries then it may begin to bite.
