    Clean Sheet

I think the fact that we maintained a clean sheet today against a top League Two attack is the most important thing to come out of the game. A marker has now been set down in terms of defending, commitment and effort.

Great job by all of our defenders today and particular praise to Duffy who is the generally accepted scapegoat 99% of the time on here. Bird sounded to have been assured alongside him and Brisley up to snuff too.

Shame we only got the one point, but that clean sheet is a thing of beauty

Agree with the above. We got the clean sheet because we pressed and hurried the opposition throughout the match, stopped more crosses and used the ball reasonably well. And we did it pretty much for 90 minutes.

The only irony is that we got the tactics right and produced that performance today against a strong Bury team, when if we had done the same against Macclesfield we would have beaten them comfortably and been three points better off. Nevertheless, if the players maintain the levels they showed today, we'll finish well clear of the bottom two.
