Matt Ritchie wants to leave #NUFC and move further south. The Hampshire-born winger, who signed from Bournemouth in 2016, wants to move closer to his family and is hoping to seal a move away from the club on deadline day. [TeamTalk]!!!

This would be bad for us.
Our most committed player. Sets an example to the rest.

I really hope this doesn't happen.

If we had a replacement I wouldn’t be too bothered he probably gets 1 in 5 crosses in and has no speed to go past defenders

£17 million is outrageous money for him but it would only go in Ashley’s back pocket. So we have Richie and Hayden who don’t want to be here

Aye, this, tbh. He's probably not too enamoured, either, with the way he's continually subbed.

As a player, Ritchie's workrate is invaluable to the way Rafa wants us to play with our current squad. But his crossing has been canny poor for a long while. I'd be very surprised if we let him go this window (in fact, I'd say it won't happen but he's definitely one we should be looking to upgrade in the Summer.

Mind, with the type of player/character he is, I don't think we'd see a dip in attitude or commitment while he's playing.

He literally crawled off the pitch against Cardiff such was his commitment from minute 1.

Jacob Murphy, just as an example cost 12.5 million pounds. Get your heads round that. Imagine Murphy stepping up to take that penalty on Tuesday night.?

I'd get shot of quite a few before Matt Ritchie.

Do you work alongside Nackems and have one of those told you this?

I can't find anything online to back this up.

    That's a fair point, Stan.
