    Time for changes on Sat

Just think team in general needs a freshen-up, needs to regain the control & impetus of Oct / Nov, so with players slowly returning after injuries, theres more competition & options.
Ayling - not been great for last 5-6 games, but should keep place, as does offer abit in the height areas
    Douglas back to LB
Phillips - no-brainer, has to get back in front of defence
Shackleton - for me, far better than Harrison, speed & directness
Roberts - injuries aside, has shown glimpses, nows the time to really show
Bamford - as above, but has that little bit of class, offers more in the aerial stakes

Time for Roofe, Allioski, Forshaw on the bench, be good to see Edmundson & the new polish lad in or around .

    I'd go with this team-

    Casilla
    Ayling Jansson Cooper Douglas
    Phillips Klich
    Hernandez Roofe Alioski
    Bamford

Bamford is a much more natural goalscorer than anyone we have and that is what we need, we keep getting into good positions and having attempts but not converting them.

Brown must be close, to at least a bench.

we've had several coaches over the years that would not change up the team even when it is not working.

However, we've never had a MB quality coach and we've had some bad breaks on some of the games we've lost. we've certainly not been outplayed or blown out like years past.

However, I think it's time for giving Bamford a run and being ready to switch out ineffective midfielders quickly if it's not working. Like the idea of Roofe supporting Bamford .

we go for it all the time anyway so might not be a bad approach to have them both out there at the same time. Boro will be crowding the box big time.

Reports that Shackleton starts, no bad thing IMHO. And if the lad from Scandinavia (Not Halme, although why not him as well!?), is all that he is made out to be, why not have him (Plus Brown (at last)) on the bench?

shackleton could be the next lewis cook imo, this kid can play, and similar to how well cook and mowatt worked together on the pitch, I think shackleton and clarke can do something similar, this is why its important to keep giving youth a chance coz with them knowing each other so well, it helps them play to the best of their ability, they can read each others game, i think we will do well this saturday vs boro, lets see what happens

    I am optomistic as well.

would love to see a break out game for the squad. Boro stuggles with scoring so getting one early would make all the difference in the world.

fk yes, an early goal for us would be a wonderous thing. I think we've only managed it once, against Derby, in our last SEVEN games (since Blackburn, and we were losing in that one as well of course)
