Actually I think the highest number of suicides is amongst men in their 40s and 50s.
Seeing yet another report of the death of someone from 'reality' TV aged 26, what's happening in the world? Is it simply down to the fact that due to the internet it's easier to report on such matters or even the fact that there are more and more pseudo celebrities who have had their 15 minutes of fame? It's not just Instagram influencers (whatever they are) and wannabee 'stars' is it though, suicides here in the US in pre-**** and ****agers is almost epidemic. Is it down to the pressures people are putting on or having put on themselves to succeed (whatever the definition of that is) or is it being fueled by the ease of access to drugs? Probably a mixture of all these but seems a far bigger problem today than it ever was 30-40 years ago. Worrying what the future holds for our kids/grandkids![]()

I wasn't specifically just talking about suicides although they are obviously part of the picture. What about opioid OD? Apparently nearly 200 deaths a day here in the US, that's equivalent to a Boeing 737 MAX 8 crashing and killing all onboard every day. They've been grounded but I don't think opioids have?
