    Why behind closed doors?

Pointless when you can stand in the street next door and see most of the airborne action.

If you go in the pub you can see the whole pitch, wonder if they closed it?

    2-2 don’t know who scored

Don’t understand the secrecy after it’s been played

I don't think that there was any deliberate secrecy and "behind closed doors" just meant that it wasn't an official game that was under any competition rules, or required stewards, etc. I think that we already seem to have given up on getting any out-of-contract players, overseas or otherwise. Prompt action on that could have made the difference between staying up and relegation, but that's not the RUFC way of doing things, and I'd now be amazed if we signed anybody before the end of the season. I've no idea what will happen if Smithy gets injured or suspended, and the RUFC management team probably don't know either.
