    Sheffield United Post Match Thoughts

I know it's up early but 6am here and time to get back to bed. Probably the result most expected but what will be the repercussions for the next 3 games. Positive or negative?

    Thoughts?

Get to bed and sweet dreams are my thoughts!

Well bar one that is probably our toughest match of the season left now done with. We do have West Brom away but hopefully by that time they will have nowt to play for and are resting players because they are firmly in the play offs.

Not been today but if you concede sloppy goals early on from corners and have players sent off early on for rash challenges you aint gonna have much of a chance. 2-0 could have been worse so well done millers for keeping it down. GD could matter at the end of the season.

We built ourselves a mountain to climb with a sloppy early goal.
Vaulks then put an extension on top of it with a moment of stupidity.
I didn't expect anything today but 3 games without Vaulks available makes it an even worse day than expected.
At least 2 possible relegation teams (could even be 5) will gain ground on us today.
    A day to forget

True but its what we do ourselves now grumps. Get another dozen points and we could have a decent chance of staying up.Its up to us to make a feight of it.

    Certainly a day to forget.
Understandably up against it down to 10 men.
    Could have been worse.
I hope PW doesn’t say he’s proud of his team !
Going to QPR, hopefully a better performance

Just seen the challenge of Vaulks did look clumsy but I have seen just yellows given for those. Their lad did make the most of it as well.Would the ref have given the same decision if it had been a blunt player I wonder?

If he does say that it will be an insult to Millers supporters, especially those who were at the match. The players are lucky that they are not going to be locked in the dressing room after the match for a couple of hours with Stevie the Fat Controller (or Mr Chiropodist, or even Ronnie).
I'm still going to QPR though . Just hoping that we are going to try to play properly and not just aim from the start for a low-scoring defeat again... and yes, I want to see us at least have a few shots ON TARGET!

Up until Vaulks's moment of madness we were making a decent fist of it despite conceding a sloppy early goal. After that it was just pure tedium.
Why the hell did Warne start with Newell? He looked like a lost sheep and his substitution was long overdue, even then it took him an age to get off the pitch at a time when it was only 1-0. Baffling.
Like most people, I didn't expect much today but the sending off took away any chance we had.
Just to add to our woes, Vaulks will be out for 3 games, Robertson's injury may sideline him and Smith really struggled today. Maybe his broken toe made it a game too far for him.
Not a good day to be a Miller and Sheffield United didn't play that well either but thoroughly deserved their win.
    Oh well, QPR up next.
