    Performance wise...

    How was last nights display?

Results, of course, are what matter most to Notts at the minute but did we play well or are Carlisle, as ‘Griff’ suggested, just not very good.

Good performances breed confidence amongst players and fans, sometimes I think a scrappy performance and a lucky win (hey, I’ll take it) just papers over the cracks.

We’ve entertained more false dawns than a ‘Dawn only drag club’ so it would be nice to know if the manager has found a solution in the nick of time.

First half we dominated with the wind behind us, I thought second half would be difficult but instead we pretty much dominated that as well.

Carlisle don't have a huge muscular team so it was nice to see us winning loose balls, 50 50s and those tussles where two players run side by side contesting the ball.

The manager picked a good team and made clever, proactive substitutions which changed the formation, instead of the predictable like for like ones he often does.

Also nice to see us get some bookings (4 I think).
