    club statement

    What was the point?

People are saying things are bad,but they are not. They are great. We will now be selling pies. Remember last week when we released 8 youngsters? Well the youth system is now brilliant.

We are still trying to punt season tickets at premier League prices,so we will extend super duper early burd till you all buy one,and if you don't,you are not a real fan ...

I'm hopeful that running our own catering will actually make more money for the club than getting a rent for the franchise. Need to have loads of quality controllers checking that the pies hot enough so that they are properly welded onto the aluminium cases!

I think it's a relatively decent statement, they said some of the things we needed to hear. The main one being they aren't running off into the sunset when/if we are relegated. Of course the last bit about real fans in't quite right but overall they are trying to be positive.

Maybe the 8 youngsters released aren't deemed good enough, that's a football judgement. I'd be happy with one first team player every 2/3 years from the youth setup which is a bit more than we normally get.

A small step (very small) in the right direction but so many questions.

And agree with Grantzer, don't pick a fight with your own support, you won't win and the club won win, no one will win.

    Pies....really....who buys that ****.

It's a mixture of nonsense and statistics. Commercial income is up because kilmsc sponsored the stadium, hospitality is hardly ever full. Pies will still be overpriced,no matter who sells them, and not that exciting.

The season ticket super extension is because people are not buying them. The training centre is a rental.

If nothing has changed, and apart from who makes the most money from the pies seems to be the only thing that has changed, why make a statement?

    Like I say,pointless exercise

All we needed was confirmation that the Keyes family are still wholly committed and that they recognise that some mistakes have been made and that they will be rectified.
I’m delighted that the Leyes family will remain but I regret the money that’s been wasted by their choice of CEO ,the really poor communication and the killing of the Derry

The single most important thing is continued cash support.

You seem to agree commercial income is up, surely a good thing?

The training centre being rented surely also ok ahead of a new stadium?

It's not what was promised though,it's just moving from the current rented training facilities to new rented training facilities.

Commercial income is up due to a one off deal.

Continued support sounds great, it might even be great, but given the history of broken promises from fps,I would say a pinch of salt might be appropriate here.

My original point still stands,if nothing is changing, why make the statement?

As H says, they are staying for the course, we can’t turn back the clock, hopefully they learn from mistakes, their cash injection is *****, let’s just accept the past is in the past, instead of looking for things to have a pop at,

How do others feel about managers future after statement, at no time does it say he will still be there, fingers crossed, but it doesn’t say he won’t, hopefully that’s saved till the last game

As they fund the club it is entirely up to them who the manager is at any given time. We might not agree with it, but that’s how it is.
