    England last night.

    Shocking, especially the defence.
England are supposed to be a top footballing nation, yet in the whole 130 ish years we have been playing the sport we only have one trophy and one final to show for it.
Even Greece have won the European Championship. We have never even been in the final.
We have always been way overated. Countries like Germany, France, Italy, Holland and even little Belgium leave us in the starting blocks.
Not very good at our other national game either are we? A good job not many countries play that or we wouldn't be as high placed as we are. Didn't Holland beat us in that as well?
We used to be the best at Darts, but now the world number 1 is another bloody Dutchman.

    Embarrassing ay it?

Did not even remember it was being played.

    Waste of time competition anyway.

Neither did i, i went around the pub as they have a singer on Thursday nights and the place was rammed, at first i thought it was the women's rubbish, then i saw some of the players looked like men, but i still wasn't sure until someone put me right.
England had just had the goal disallowed when i got in, the singer was delayed because of the game, but that was ok as he carried on until 00.30 am.

Lets put some reality into this boys. Yes, we are a top footballing nation as any team which reaches the World Cup semi and Euro Nations Cup semi final has to be decent. However, we are still not the finished article which last night clearly showed. We still have great talent in the wings who are itching to strut their stuff on the big stage. There are some ageing legs in the current team so I believe that now is the time to blood these youngsters. Whether Southgate does this though is the big question.

The players from Scotland, Wales and both Irish teams play for the shirt, our players play for their ego's.

Don't get this 'play for the shirt comment' for our fellow Brits. Try convincing a Scotsman the current lot are 'playing for the shirt.' Ireland will pick anyone who once had a pint of Guiness. Wales best player Giggs was hardly commited to turning out for Wales.

To the list of sports we invented and are rubbish at you can add Rugby Union, Rugby League and Tennis.

Bang on there!!!! Call me old fashioned but with the club cash - they should play for the England shirt as a honour and without charge!

Greed and player cash is killing football meanwhile the average kid can’t afford to go and play on dog s hit fields! Disgusting!!!

As Dele Ali the dirty t osser ever played well for England? Kane looks unfit and totally inconsistent!
