    Bruce resigns at Wednesday

And is now closer than ever to joining us.

The mackems will be ecstatic; from Rafa and and a potential takeover to Bruce and being stuck with Ashley.

    Sad and uninspiring times.

Yeah....just posted about it on the other thread.

Surely they'll be able to take it to court? If they were due £5 million compensation then the manager simply being able to say 'I resign' and walking into another club-who have clearly turned his head (suggested that's what he does)...that doesn't seem feasible? Otherwise compensation clauses wouldn't exist as there'd be no point.

Possibly even a little 'sweetener' to encourage the manager in question to leave his post....?

I just realized that this isn't official news yet, sorry if I portrayed it like that - it is yet to be confirmed I believe.

But yes Zip, there are rules in place regarding managers resigning and taking over at other clubs. I do not know the specifics of the rules in England, but usually if the manager resigns and takes over at a different club within something like 12-13 months of having left his former club, compensation will have to be paid.

So yeah, Bruce can't just resign so that Ashley can get him for free - thankfully!

Would say any losses felt by Bruce over him resigning would be recompensed by the fatman - cheaper than paying compensation maybe even.

Either way it shows Bruce forcing is SW hand to compromise and at the same time showing him to be a dishonourable blaggard himself. Maybe SW cannot appoint someone as it stands legally, dunno depends on his existing contract I suppose. The fans there wisely want Hughton now I think.

Its another example of the toxidity of MA which can even eminate out and muddy the waters at another club.

Not something Rafa would do to his employer because he has honour.

But wow, what cnts they are and I now put Bruce firmly in that bracket now.

Rumours flying about now are saying Wednesdays owner could take out an injunction against cabbage heed just like Crystal Palace did when he pulled the same stroke by resigning at Palace to take Birmingham job. Plus rumours are saying Weds are after £6M compo.
I love it when Ash-lie gets a taste of his own medicine

It only goes to prove how lacking in judgement the turd is. Like the teaboy, neither of them has a clue about players, managers or anything to do with a football club.
