no surprises so far but are about to get a biff in the b alls

Everyone who I thought would leave has left plus a few who I am glad have left, the awful Taylor, Forde and Williams.

So everything is all set up for the start of the season.

However, I am being told from an unnamed source that we are about to get an almighty biff in the balls.

Could it be Smith on his way out?

It wouldn't surprise me but I hope not.

With him just signing a new contract he will or should go for a higher sum than Vaulks,Ajayi and the famous undisclosed Charlton paid us for Purrington.

I don't know who it by the way Frog. I have just been told a big 'un, beside Ajayi, is leaving. Big in stature, big in reputation? Sorry I don't know more.

I say Smith because for me this would be the one player whose departure would hurt me the most.

I not bothered about Smith really.

if Procter stays fit we have a replacement who scores more goals.

Vassell is more likely and by the sounds of it, it's a done deal and he's off. If that is true and it is by no means verified then I don't think that we can afford to lose Smith.

I've heard a rumour about Vassell going to Salford, and there's the rumour that just won't go away about Smith to Hull.

I wouldn't blame Vassell for leaving, he was out of his depth last season but could be a real asset in L1 for us and we haven't seen the best of him but I still don't see him holding down a regular place.
To lose Smith now would be a big big kick in the nads. However, stick a £3m price tag on him and if anyone is willing to pay that much, so be it. Don't let Smith leave for dick all.

'Big in stature, big in reputation'

Can't say we have anyone who's big in reputation but having seen that Warne is supposedly chasing Marvin Ekpiteta, a big centre back, then don't be surprised if it ain't Clark Robertson.

There's no way I can see both Smith and Vassell leaving as that would leave us extra thin up front. Morris is only a loan player and could be recalled plus Proctor is only just making a return from a lengthy injury.

Then again we could always continue with one up front chucking Ladapo in at the deep end.

So Vassell has gone from top pre season player to out the door in 3 days. Don’t believe a word of it.

If it is, we will need another coming in , in addition to replacement for Semi. Also we are going to need a replacement for Wood in the near future
