Anyway, the point is Donny fans aint happy with their lack of signings and letting Marquis go. The fact that he went for an undisclosed fee suggests they didn't get as much for him as Donny fans would have liked.

I was reading the incomings and outgoings of the championship clubs yesterday. I was shocked at how many clubs had spent zero.

I feel their pain. It's a huge blow to lose your best player a few days before the season starts with little time to replace him. Especially when it's to another L1 club.
RE. Our centre back situation, I'm not particularly concerned that we haven't signed one yet. We seem to have spent the whole summer waiting for Curtis Tilt and Blackpool to make their minds up which I think could have been handled better, could have looked at other options earlier on as a backup, and we've left it a bit late. But the ones we have at the club are perfectly adequate for L1.
We may end up bringing one or two in on loan at this late stage of pre season.

Mmm....annoyed some of them, though to be fair I can see why - glad we're not facing their predicament - money in the bank can't cross the white line and play for you

Very happy with our recruitment so far.
Two key things for me -
PW and staff have been more savvy and very professional in their approaches, resulting in most of their first choices coming in. Rob Scott will have helped enormously.
It's obviously easier to recruit to a club that will have ambitions of promotion, than to one in the bottom 3 in January, and also with fairly low expectations last summer.
The signings have been identified early and, mainly, come in early. We have our first choice keeper - last season it was a few weeks in if I remember.
We are spoilt for choice in midfield and for strikers. Just need a bit more depth at the back.

Looked quite similar to some of the arguments on here but we do seem to have more respect towards TS.
What interested me is that in all their posts no one even mentioned the chairman. Someone alluded to him though!!
