Jami Lindsay the player of the moment....

As the season hits a third of the way through we have seen our new signings settle in. Injuries and delayed games have seen us unsettled from the offset and we've had to adapt to many team formations giving different results. This has affected us setting off at a decent pace and being in amongst the top six but, we are just off the pace so no big worries.

Of the newcomers we all have our favourites for whatever reason, keeper, goalscorers or just damn hard working players. This brings me to one player in particular and that is Jamie Lindsay. This young man although weighing in at
10 stone 5lbs and being 6 feet tall, looks smaller than that on the pitch to me. That aside what he delivers is immense and he is fast becoming a great player for us.

His tenacity in his role grows in every game. We had a great player in Will Vaulks but, there just seems to be that extra graft from Jamie that carries our game more forward. His ability to break up play, pass with ease and basically hold the midfield role is a pleasure to see. His hard Scottish nature as a no nonsense footballer is visible and this bodes well in his game. Not wanting to take prisoners whilst avoiding a booking takes some doing but, he shows enough maturity to realise his role is v.ital to us progressing well this season and hopefully he abstains from yellows and dare I say a red card.

Maybe it's just my opinion of him but he appears quiet and unassuming and doesn't seem to get the adulation and press statements he thoroughly deserves. I truly hope that going forward, he keeps himself injury free wherever possible.
We have here in this young man a possible future club hero/Captain and heaven forbid, a saleable asset that we can't hold on to. Long may his great form continue and the club moves on to greater times with him firmly in the middle.

One final point if anything is, I would like him to push further forward and show us his shooting ability that he is apparently more than capable of delivering and to add to the team's goal scoring stats.

    Good luck Jamie!

NB. Apologies for the misspell of his name as it should read Jamie.

Agree entirely brin. A tireless worker for the cause and often helping the defence out with his reading of the game. I too think we need to push him up a bit he scored a lot of goals in the box frecks style for Ross. Wonder if we should play him further forward at home particularly against teams who come to shut up shop.

Late runs into the box frecks style might break stubborn teams down

I said a couple of weeks ago that he was like Stuart Talbot. He's certainly a mix of him, Pepper and Grealish.
We've unearthed a diamond and he's starting to shine. That shinewill dimmer in a month or so because it's what happens with young players but he'll shine brighter than beforewhen his form returns. If he continues like he is then we have no chance of holding on to him.
Enjoy watching him as a Miller while we can.

Really like him. A proper Rotherham player.

Will be better than Vaulks if he keeps developing.

Good posts, Brin, and, like many on here and other social media, I agree with your sentiments. His through ball that allowed Crooks to lob the keeper on Saturday typifies the vision and technical ability he can produce - in addition to his toughness and spirit. I like him a lot and he is a very welcome addition to our squad.

Good evening Sir. The thing that also stands him in good stead, is that he is only a mere 23 years old! Imagine him in 5 years time wherever he may be. Keep fit, level headed and he will have a great future in front of him hopefully to our benefit.

Reminds me of Ryan Woods when he was at Brentford, doing the simple things brilliantly well. Show, receive, pass. Rarely loses the ball. Very tidy player.
