    Rip

I see Martin Peters of 1966 World Cup has passed away at the age of 76, good player. R.I.P.

Very sad, would be good if a couple of the older lads on here had a few things to say about him as they will have no doubt seen him play.Just remember him as scoring in World Cup final, probably something another England player wont do for a lot longer than has already passed since he did.

Yes he was just about the complete player and could play in several positions. It's odd that he wasn't a chosen starter for the first game in the World Cup side but as soon as he got in he established the position for himself.

I was fortunate to see him play for all of his four club sides and supporters of all those four clubs said he was a real gent. R.I.P.

Sad. Apart from his obvious achievements, he seems to have been a lovely fella too. RIP
