Very sad,would be good if a couple of the older lads on here had a few things to say about him as they will have no doubt seen him play.Just remember him as scoring in World Cup final,probably something another England player wont do for a lot longer than has already passed since he did.

Yes he was just about the complete player and could play in several positions. It's odd that he wasn't a chosen starter for the first game in the World Cup side but as soon as he got in he established the position for himself.Originally Posted by Geordie1974
